Call Of Duty- Warzone Adds New Pride Flags

Warzone is the latest game to get new Pride month-related content, with eight new Pride flags being added as Calling Cards. The new flags join six other Pride flags that were added as part of last year’s celebration, bringing the total to 14 flags representing varied LGBTQIA+ identities.

The newly added flags include designs representing the genderqueer, agender, aromantic, intersex, genderfluid, and pansexual communities. The new flags also include one specific to gay men, as well as the Progress Pride flag, which combines the rainbow Pride flag with the colors of the trans Pride flag.

Chip Shortages Could Last Through 2022, Says Nvidia CEO

Anyone having a problem getting a new graphics card, car, household appliance, or any other modern piece of tech won’t have much better luck any time soon. Speaking to Yahoo Finance, CEO Jensen Huang signaled that he expects the chip shortage to last well through 2022.

“I think that through the next year,” Huang said, “demand is going to far exceed supply. We don’t have any magic bullets in navigating the supply chain.” Supply chain bottlenecks, from a lack of components used in creating products, like semiconductors and microchips, to staff shortages at ports, have impacted economies around the world. The ongoing chip shortage began at the start of the pandemic, and so far, the situation hasn’t changed.

Hearthstone Mercenaries, New RPG-Like Mode, Coming This Year

Blizzard’s plans for the coming year in Hearthstone includes a new RPG-like mode called Mercenaries. It lets you assemble a team of fan-favorite characters and level them up to unlock new powers and abilities. It’s coming later this year.

The Mercenaries mode will include both PvE and PvP modes. In PvE, you’ll take on a gauntlet of randomly generated encounters, which grant you loot and experience for unlocking more powerful versions of your heroes as you make your way to the final boss. In PvP, you’ll come to blows with an opposing Mercenary team, and you’ll each plan your next turn simultaneously–a sharp departure from the standard turn-based combat in Hearthstone.

Halo Boss Explains How TV Show Will Break From Series' Canon

The Halo Paramount+ series is getting a full trailer during the AFC Championship game this Sunday, but 343’s head of transmedia Kiki Wolfkill has revealed a little more information about the show already. This includes how its “Silver Timeline” will be breaking from the established canon so as to not interfere with the story we know from the games.

In an interview on Halo Waypoint, Wolfkill said the decision to establish the new Silver Timeline was made “to protect the integrity, simplicity, and future of the core canon, but also not be limited by it when faced with the realities of a new medium and the process of production.”

James Bond Casting Director Says Younger Actors Have Lacked "Gravitas" For The Role

The James Bond casting director for more than 40 years has explained why the producers have never cast a “younger” person for the lead role. Speaking to RadioTimes, Debbie McWilliams–who has been the James Bond casting director since 1981–said younger actors who tried out over the years lacked a level of “gravitas” required for the role.

“We did look at a lot of younger actors and I just don’t think they had the gravitas, they didn’t have the experience, they didn’t have the mental capacity to take it on, because it’s not just the part they’re taking on, it’s a massive responsibility,” McWilliams said. “So we kind of scrubbed that idea and went back to the drawing board and started again.”

Of course, “young” is a relative term. The youngest actor to ever play James Bond was George Lazenby, who was 29 during the filming of 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Daniel Craig, who played James Bond in five films wrapping up with No Time To Die, was 38 when he played Jame…
