Model of Texian Sloop-of-War Austin donated to Texas Military Forces Museum.

This quarter-inch scale model of the Texas Sloop-of-War Austin, built by Wayne Crow in 2002, was recently donated to the Texas Military Forces Museum at Camp Mabry, just outside of Austin, by the Donegan family. Austin, commanded by Edwin Moore, served as the flagship of the Republic’s navy from 1839 to 1843. Photos courtesy of the museum.
