Ride in a Warbird, Help Texas Navy History

Flyer 27 August 2018 720.jpgFriends and Colleagues:

As some of you know, the Texas Navy Association is moving forward with plans to conduct a Phase I, non-invasive survey to help locate the remains of the schooner INVINCIBLE, that was lost off the east end of Galveston Island in August 1837. To help with this, the Tom Toby Squadron has stepped up with a raffle for a ride in an authentic warbird, a North American AT6/SNJ Texan, based at Ellington Airport. It’s a wonderful aircraft, and a unique experience.

The raffle drawing will be held at the TNA quarterly meeting on October 13, 2018. You do not need to be present to win. Tickets are $20 each. It’s a wonderful prize, but more important it supports a worthwhile project and moves Texas history forward. This will become the biggest, most complex project the TNA have ever undertaken, but INVINCIBLE was one of our first ships and has a story to tell of her own.

If you’re interested purchasing one (or more!) raffle tickets, you can do so through the TNA Ship’s Store (link below), or through any TNA Board Member or Squadron Commander.

See y’all in the sky!
