Recently the Hawkins Squadron was presented with a set of prints of the schooners of the First Texas Navy, published by the Port of Galveston in 1971. The drawings of the four vessels — Liberty, Invincible, Brutus, and Independence — were done by Emil Bunjes (1902-1974), and were published both as line art and as color-tinted prints.
The prints were donated by Mr. Mark Underhill of Nederland, Texas.
