American Oarsmen: “The Mount Everest of rowing”

One week into the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, and the American Oarsmen are still in third place overall, behind two four-man teams, Row for James and Latitude 35, as they have been since setting out from La Gomera last Tuesday. The fourth- and fifth place teams, Soulo Gav and Facing It, have gradually closed the gap on the Oarsmen, and a currently both only about ten nautical miles behind them. It’s going to be a long slog, where endurance will win out. You can follow the race tracking in near-real time here, and the American Oarsmen on Twitter here.
